Week of Prayer 2010

Thank you so much for praying for Mike & Vicki McQuitty as well as the other Week of Prayer missionaries. We also thank you for your prayers for other BCM's across the state.

There are many prayer requests, and we have listed a few here for you.

Just in the last couple of weeks, we've really seen God work in students' lives both on SU campus, and also on other Central NY campuses we work at. Thanks to many prayers, there are some encouraging stories to be reported of students who are desiring to know the Truth and open to discussions about a personal faith in Christ.

A couple weeks ago at a Bible study, BCM intern Becky had the opportunity to meet a group of Chinese students. Some of these students were Christians and new to the faith, others who were at the Bible study to discover what Christianity was all about. After talking about studies and busy college life with one student, Julie *(name changed), the Holy Spirit directed the conversation to spiritual matters. Julie talked about her family, who was Buddhist, and said that although raised in a Buddhist family, she did not have any personal convictions about faith.

She wanted to know more and had a lot of questions. This opened the door to talk about a God who loves us and desires that we would know him in a personal way through his son, Jesus. Sharing the Gospel was just the first seed planted in this young woman's life, and since then the other Chinese students have been able to have more fellowship with her. Please continue to pray for Julie, that the Lord will convict her and show her who He is, resulting in a true faith relationship with Him.
